Listen To Letter

Dear Life,

I know the awe that is felt when you look at the starry night sky, or the peace that is experienced when listening to a gushing waterfall amidst mountains, has in it an ounce of spirituality. I am also aware that the feeling you get when the birds that chirp at the brink of dawn, as a ray of sun pierces through my bedroom window, just before my eyes open to greet the many vibrant colors of sunrise, too, have spiritual significance. I have felt a beckoning from the universe precisely at the point I have experienced such phenomenon, and that is what creates a sense of innocent curiosity within me. This is not merely just a feeling but a profound realization that life has more to it than just a physical touch. There is indeed something far greater than the senses can comprehend, and that is the magical touch of the universe. The question is whether I believe in pursuing this feeling of something greater than life itself and whether I am willing to search for answers to questions that mankind still struggles to answer today.

The truth is I have searched for answers, and I am willing to search for more. I am so deeply in love with life, and I am so devoted to her, that searching for answers is the least I could do in turn for the beautiful experience she has gifted me. As I have been on a spiritual journey for twelve years, I have gotten answers to many of my questions however, I cannot deny that there are still many questions left unanswered. The greatest pain in life comes from not knowing why things happen the way they do. A spiritual quest is the only way that the greatest pains of life can be better understood. I have been seeking answers to some of the most painful questions that mankind has faced such as, “What is the purpose of life? What is death? What does it mean to be spiritual? Is there really such a thing as right and wrong?” All I can say is that if you are truly committed to seeking the truth, it will in some shape or form reveal itself to you.

The journey within is the greatest one you will experience. In all of God’s green earth, you will see that there is nothing that doesn’t have a purpose to it, including yourself and your existence on this great and wonderous planet. The oceans (water), the dust (earth), the sun (fire), and the sky (air), have all been placed with much sacred intent by the creator. I do understand that many question the existence of the creator. To them I say that you must not dismiss the existence of something merely based on the fact that it cannot be seen. Also, what cannot be seen is not non existent however, is simply invisible. Just like the air you breathe cannot be seen, it doesn’t take away the fact that it is very much significant in sustaining life. As you know, the world is round. So is human life like a sphere, three dimensional. What we see here on this planet in front of our faces only gives us a two dimensional view of life. Mankind’s life can only truly be understood by looking at the full three dimensional picture which means understanding your existence beyond the physical realm.

Epistles of Enlightenment, are truly my reflections, thoughts, and knowledge about spirituality. I am blessed to be able to have the spiritual gifts I do. Until next time,

– Mary
