Dear Mary,
Life is a glorious experience. Indeed, the hand of the creator is upon this life. I have been on a great journey for more than a decade, and I now understand what it means to be a silent warrior. Amidst all the chaos of life, I can say that the one who remains calm like the sea despite the winds of chaos, is king. The winds of chaos can cause a turbulent experience, but just like in the sea, the water only churns out tides until the wind blows into her. It is important to understand how to be like the sea so that when the destructive forces try to dismantle you, you remain strong and build resilience. I must admit however, I would not be calm like the sea, if I was deprived of my faith in the great lord, God. God is the sea. Despite the existence of sin, God has granted mankind a life, and the ability to experience the vastness of his love. He has remained calm and loving.
I must admit that before my spiritual journey, I was guilty of questioning the existence of his mightiness. Before I expanded my spiritual awareness, I wondered, “If God loves me, then why does he not show himself? Why is there death on earth if he cares about life?” My spirituality has taught me to look within for my answers. Going within I learned that God’s silence is like the silence of a disappointed parent, whose child has gone astray. We seldom blame ourselves for his lack of presence in our life. The other day, I came across something so profound, it brought tears to my eyes. The person in the video said, “The greatest tragedy of life is not knowing how loved you are.” God’s love for us is so vast, that he has gifted mankind life there where mankind can see what it is like to love and experience his grace, despite having sin inside of him. When you understand that God’s love is supreme because he is the only one that can truly love you through sin, the feeling of humility is inevitable.
My spirituality has taught me to look at the world from the highest perspective, God’s perspective. I have been blessed to see that love is never lost, and where love is lost, God cannot be found. When spirituality entered my life, I was reborn. Mankind is truly resurrected when he finds his virtuous faith in God. When I used to live a life where I would only see life with my two eyes, and not my soul, I thought the world was a dark place, an abyss if you will. When I opened the door to a spiritual experience, I learned that maybe it is not as dark. For God’s love and the seed of love he has embedded inside of us that we shower upon our families and friends, is also existent here. I call this the golden lining.
The golden lining in this world, is that the highest religion is the religion of love. Love which has a universal tongue, and includes all, must be a divine blessing. For he who knows love, is loved and the one who is able to love despite his sinful ways, is blessed. Whether you believe in God or not, you must believe in love. For as my philosophy teacher once said, the only being whom can live a life by himself, without getting love back, is either a demon, or God himself.
